1. Data Controller
The data controller is the T4 Triveneto group, an informal association
of Volkswagen T4 enthusiasts operating on a non-profit basis.
Contact: vwt4triveneto@gmail.com
or via the official social channels (Facebook, Instagram).
2. Types of Data Collected
This website is informational in nature and does not collect personal data from users
through registration forms, newsletters, or restricted areas. The site does however publish
photographs of participants at community events (rallies, meetings), which constitute
personal data under Article 4 GDPR: the related processing is described in section 2.1 below.
Data that may be automatically collected includes:
- Navigation data: IP address, browser used, operating system, pages visited
- Technical cookies: necessary for the website to function
- Preference cookies: to remember user choices (e.g., language, cookie consent)
- Analytics cookies: Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with the site (only with consent)
2.1 Photographs of event participants
The site hosts photo galleries taken during the community's rallies and events (e.g. the VW T4 Meeting on Lake Garda).
These photographs may depict identifiable persons and therefore qualify as personal data under
Article 4(1) GDPR.
- Purpose: documenting and promoting the activities of the T4 Triveneto community on the website
and on official social channels.
- Legal basis: explicit consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR),
collected in writing through a dedicated image release form signed by each adult participant
for online publication purposes.
- Minors: no minors are depicted in identifiable form in the images published
on the website. If a minor appears in the background of group shots, the image is published only when the minor
cannot be identified; otherwise, the face is suitably obscured (blur/pixelation) prior to
publication to prevent recognition.
- Retention: images are kept online for as long as necessary for the purposes above and in any case
until the data subject withdraws consent.
- Rights: under Articles 7(3), 17 and 21 GDPR, any depicted person may at any time
withdraw consent, request deletion of their image or object to publication,
without having to provide a reason and without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
Requests can be sent to vwt4triveneto@gmail.com or, alternatively,
via direct message on the official social channels
(Facebook or
Instagram),
and will be handled as soon as technically possible.
- Photographer: the photographs are taken by Giovanni Federici, who retains the copyright in the
photographic works; the processing of personal data contained in the images is carried out by the controller
T4 Triveneto for the purposes stated above.
3. Purposes of Processing
Any data collected is used exclusively for:
- Ensuring proper website functionality
- Anonymous statistical analysis of traffic
- Storing user preferences
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Data processing is based on the legitimate interest of the controller to provide a
functioning informational service and, for non-essential cookies, on user consent.
5. Data Retention
Navigation data is retained for the time strictly necessary for the stated purposes and
in any case no longer than 12 months. Cookies have specific durations indicated in the Cookie Policy.
6. Data Subject Rights
Under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), users have the right to:
- Access their personal data
- Request rectification or deletion
- Object to processing
- Request restriction of processing
